FLY ME OUT FUND 2023!
It’s time to fly tf out and connect to new inspiration!

What is this??
Black Curatorial believes experiencing new things changes your perception of the world and exposes you to new ways of approaching creativity.
So why not give you £1k to try a ting.
The FLY ME OUT FUND is one of our ways of supporting Black Curators / Visual Artists in Barbados, Jamaica & the UK by enabling them to experience a new curatorial project, exhibition, biennial, cultural event or research access etc.
Our intention is to broaden horizons and access through enabling curators and artists to be immersed in different visions and spaces for a week or weekend.
p.s. this fund does not enable cooning.

Why are you doing this?
At Black Curatorial, we love a funded trip!
Things are just better when you don’t have to pay for them.
We’ve travelled to many countries to experience exhibitions, festivals, events etc and the impact of international travel has enriched the way we work tenfold.
We’re also asking people to document their process and educational experience because live archiving and black ownership over documentation is central to our practice.
We want Black curators to play more and know there is a whole world to gain inspiration from.
A whole world that we are citizens and custodians of. We prioritise trips that are attached to a wider vision or work on connecting across the African Diasporas.
We want you to grow, expand, learn, connect and tek our money to do so!
